The administration of Omo’ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun (HOA), has intensified the process of bringing relief to many communities across the Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA) through grading of over 20 inner street roads.
According to the council authority, the intervention will continue across other communities within the council.
In a media communication by the Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman, Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, Mr Oluwaseun Ajayi, the strategic interventions underscore the administration’s unwavering commitment to its GLORY Agenda with emphasis on roads and physical infrastructure as a catalyst for socio-economic development.

Most of the affected communities have long grappled with poor road conditions and limited accessibility. These include Olumo Major Road, Osasona Babatope Avenue, Ebenezer Ola Gbangbose Crescent, Abayomi Olushile Crescent, Folawiyo Avenue, Alhaji Adewale Street,, Bayewo Orimisan, Ochele Oga, Michael Odumade Street, Samsideen Ipaye Street and Olayinka Abioye Street among others.
A major feature of the exercise is the comprehensive grading of nine roads within the Shared Divine Estate CDA, including Mike’s Street, Albert Enomah Road, Roads C, D, E, G, G Extension, H, and I
“This coordinated intervention has effectively opened up the estate, enabling seamless vehicular movement, improving safety, and boosting property value across the community,” the statement added.

The council also confirmed that the road grading activities will extend across other CDAs within the LCDA.
“With equipment and personnel already deployed to additional communities, the initiative is being systematically expanded to ensure that no part of IBLCDA is left behind.
The council authorities also stated that apart from the road grading interventions, the Aroyewun administration is also addressing critical traffic and infrastructure challenges.
“Notably, palliative works at Ojubode Junction along Obafemi Awolowo Way have eased traffic congestion significantly and improved daily commuting for residents and road users.

“In addition, the administration has completed the full rehabilitation of Olayinka Street and Oliwo Amoju Street, both key projects captured in the Chairman’s four-year infrastructure blueprint. These interventions go beyond temporary fixes, delivering durable and sustainable road solutions.
“Further palliative works on Baiyeku Road reflect a balanced approach that prioritises both community access roads and major connecting routes.
“The improvements have enhanced access to schools, healthcare facilities, markets, and other economic hubs, reinforcing the administration’s commitment to people-centered governance,” the statement added.
